What sets the price of a Volkswagen Golf
The generation sets the price first. The Golf 7 (2012-2020) is still the most common on the Belgian market; the Golf 8, sold since late 2019, fetches clearly more at the same age. Then comes the engine, 1.0 or 1.5 TSI petrol, 1.6 or 2.0 TDI diesel, eHybrid plug-in, and the gearbox: the DSG automatic is the most sought after. Trim matters too: an R-Line is worth more than a Life. GTI, GTD and R are separate models in our valuation tool, with their own price data.
